Junior dos Santos? strategy at UFC 146 on Saturday night was to knock Frank Mir out in the second round? and he delivered.

Okay, so that wasn?t exactly the strategy; that was more the planned outcome.

But dos Santos did plan to keep his distance in round one and work Mir over from there, trying to fatigue the former champion. Then, in the second stanza, he intended to move forward more, pressuring Mir, looking for the knockout.

It turned out to be a very effective strategy for dos Santos, who may now have to rematch one of the other big men that donned the UFC 146 all-heavyweight main card in Las Vegas.
