We all know that Sarah Michelle Gellar is back on TV in the new CBS series The Crazy Ones but today we learn that her hubby Freddie Prinze, Jr. is also back on the small screen. FPJ, who has starred on TV shows like 24, Boston Legal and his own short-lived series Freddie, will be making a guest appearance on the new series Witches of East End and as you can see below, he won’t be wearing much clothing on the show. I honestly never thought about Freddie as beefcake material but judging by the photo below, homie’s been working out to change that perception about him.
He’s fallen under the radar of late, but Freddie Prinze, Jr. will make an eye-opening return to the small screen later this month when he peels off his top in Witches Of East End. The 37-year-old actor will play a hunky entomologist Leo Wingate in a forthcoming episode of the new US fantasy drama – but while his appearance is fleeting, it is no less memorable. Indeed, while Freddie appears to spend less time in front of the camera these days, he clearly spends significantly more of it working out. In a shot from the show, which launched on October 6, the actor is seen showing off some impressively toned abs, a broader chest and two rippling sets of biceps … According to EW, his character will be ‘a gallant and sweetly shy entomologist who falls head over heels for Wendy Beauchamp (played by Madchen Amick).’ They add: ‘The scholar is said to specialize in rare and exotic insects, and he soon begins to wonder whether Wendy is more interested in his body or his bugs. He is set to guest star in the fourth episode, with more episodes possible.’ Freddie’s episode is scheduled to air in the US on October 27 – shortly before he makes another guest appearance, this time in crime show Bones.
With both SMG and FPJ working on TV projects, the moolah should be rolling in for their little family. Now that we now that 24 is coming back next year, maybe Freddie can reprise his role on the show as well. I guess I could live with FPJ full clothed on 24 … esp if he keeps recurring on Witches of East End sans shirt ;)
